
Justin Teltschik

Mr. Teltschik most recently was a Principal at The Carlyle Group working in the Carlyle Energy Mezzanine Opportunities Group from 2011 through 2016. He was primarily responsible for sourcing, reviewing and structuring upstream investments in the $25-$250 million range. During his tenure there, he utilized his large industry network to originate more than 500 upstream E&P deals. He was formerly Vice President at Imperial Capital, a middle-market focused Energy Investment Banking Group where he focused on financing, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring assignments for upstream and oil service companies.
Prior to his tenure at the bank, he was Vice President and a founding member of Petrobridge Investment Management, an energy fund specializing in upstream oil & gas mezzanine investments. As one of only five employees, he was responsible for several roles including client origination, deal structuring, leading due diligence activities, and managing day to day relationships with each portfolio client. Prior to the energy fund’s inception in 2003, he worked in Royal Dutch Shell’s Producer Finance Group which focused on upstream oil and gas mezzanine financings. At Shell, his team successfully closed and managed a portfolio in excess of $500 million. He has also held previous finance positions at El Paso Energy and Fidelity Investments. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Washington & Lee University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
